HOPE, the whale is ready for the Enbridge hearings in Vancouver

Posted Jan 13

Enbridge is coming to Vancouver this week, and a group of local multi-media artists have built a 25 foot whale to bring to the public hearings to symbolize the expansive and growing community of people with a vision of an oil-free coast in BC.

If you can't attend the hearings or the many protests happening around town this week in person, you can still share your own message of hope for an oil free coast that we'll project directly onto the whale. Just tweet a message using the hash tag #hopethewhale, or check out our cool live updates widget where you can type in your own message in the comments field.

The sculpture is designed to be a welcoming, collaborative, visual, interactive and peaceful approach to supporting a healthy environment. The whale will amplify our a collective messages of hope and a vision for a healthy ocean, water, land, communities, green economy, cultures and people.

Remember, YOUR tweets, photos and videos will be projected onto the whale! Either in person at Burrard and Nelson, or virtually using our live updates widget.
